En plus d’avoir des doigts de fées, elles ont le souci du détail, sont d’une grande gentillesse et pleines d’attention. Very happy with Raplapla

A gift worth every penny

The only object my husband owns of any real importance to him, is the stuffed bear given to him at birth, kept at his side for the last 43 years. Obviously it had seen better days. In hopes of restoring this beloved bear, to ensure another 43+ years of love we sent it to the team at raplapa. Communication from the team was prompt & clear, and not once did we doubt the care they were putting in to this project. They lovingly replaced eyes, replaced stuffing, and expertly reinforced open seams, putting our beloved bear solidly back together. They painstakingly cleaned him up, fluffed and ready for more hugs before sending him back to us.
We are eternally grateful to the Raplapa team, and cannot recommend this service enough.

Au delà de nos attentes.

Nous avons envoyé Rover (60 ans) à l’hôpital Raplapla pour un makeover devenu nécessaire par son grand âge. Depuis les premiers contacts avec l’hôpital jusqu’au retour de Rover à la maison avec sa “carte soleil” et son ordonnance, en passant par la Mignonne photo qu’on nous a fait parvenir de River dans son lit d’hôpital, l’experience a été hors pair. Merci à la chirurgienne Dominique pour les suivis réguliers. Rover à repris sa place à la maison.

Incredible cozy and wholesome experience!

From the moment you walk in, you know you're in good hands. The place is super cozy and filled with a lot of love for stuffies. I'm an adult who loves and adores her plushie to bits and came from Toronto to have her plushie washed and have its fill completely replaced. Dominique and her team were super patient and understanding with my worries! Thank you so much for taking care of my plushie during his stay at the Raplapla hospital :)

Cute teddy sweater with pocket

This custom item was made to replace my teddy’s old sweater. It is adorable and has a cute little pocket. I would not have chosen the colour they used, but it suits the teddy and the age of the teddy.

Excellent

They squeezed me in last minute and got my little Cousin's stuffy back to her in time for Christmas after my dog got ahold of it. the eyes weren't exactly the same but they were kind of abnormal ones to begin with. They gave me the option of a few different eyes they had in stock and sent pictures. Everything From start to finish was excellent!

Amazing quality

FAQ

Can I come in without an appointment?

Nope.

You need to fill out the admission form and make an appointment before coming in. We need all the information about your patient so we can take care of them.

I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT ON MONDAY, BUT GOOGLE SAYS IT'S CLOSED. SHOULD I PANIC?

No. Everything is normal. Google Maps is more powerful than reality itself. Just like you, any customer who has an appointment on a Monday and sees that the store is listed as “closed” while looking up directions on their phone is completely thrown off. But we’re waiting for you.

How does it work?

Step 1 - Fill out the admission form above.

Step 2 - Schedule an appointment to bring the patient to the hospital.

Step 3 - Receive a confirmation email for the appointment date.

Step 4 - Drop off the patient on the agreed-upon day (or send the patient by mail).

Step 5 - Final diagnosis and payment of the bill.

Step 6 - Patience and trust. Surgery under general anesthesia.

Step 7 - Recovery room.

Step 8 - Pick up the patient during our business hours (or wait patiently by the mailbox).

Step 9 - Convalescence and care at home.

Is my plushie eligible?

We repair almost all fabric toys.

We do not repair stuffed animals made of real fur, or plastic or wooden toys.

If you have a plastic doll with a fabric body, we may be able to repair its body!

We do not repair the mechanisms of music boxes or talking toys (but we can repair their fabric bodies or clothing).

How do I get to the hospital?

We are located at 69 Villeneuve Street West in Montreal, in the Raplapla workshop-boutique.

By public transit

Get off at the Laurier metro station, then walk about ten minutes west, or take bus 55 or 80 to the corner of Villeneuve Street.

By car

Follow your GPS as usual and park on St-Laurent Boulevard (it’ll cost you a few dollars but will save you a lot of frustration from driving around in circles in the neighborhood only to find that ALL the spots have resident permits).

How do I prepare my patient for shipping?

After completing your admission form and scheduling an appointment, place your patient in a cozy box for their long journey. Please include a small card with their name and the estimate number provided in the booking email, and send it to:

Please send it a few days before their surgery. Mail delivery times are unpredictable and beyond our control. Mail is sent out every Tuesday and Friday.

I want to have a toy repaired that isn't made of fabric.

To have plastic dolls (even Barbies!), antique porcelain, bisque, or composite dolls, mechanisms, and even stuffed animals repaired, contact Dann Oickle.

Need a new nose or an eye stitched up? Our surgeon will give your best friend a real makeover.

Is a limb missing after your grandma's rabbit was left behind in the back of the attic? Is the foot of your favorite teddy bear now living in the dog's digestive tract? There's nothing like a stay at the hospital to get him running on all fours again!

Whether out of sheer vanity or because nothing else is working, a new piece of fabric can save the day! It’s also a good way to “protect” a very old stuffed animal that you don’t want to alter—either because you’re not sure you want to make a change, or because it’s too fragile.

Completely wiped out, worn out by the dryer? Allergic to the family’s “wash-and-kill-everything” washing machine? Desperately need to soften your fur, now that Missy has turned into Moldy? A trip to the hospital spa might be a good idea.
