FAQs
Can I show up without an appointment?
Nope.
You must complete the admission form and make an appointment before coming. We need all the information about your patient to be able to care for them.
I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT ON A MONDAY, BUT GOOGLE SAYS IT'S CLOSED. I PANIC?
No. Everything is normal. The power of Google Maps is stronger than reality itself. Like you, every customer who has an appointment on a Monday and notices that the store is announced "closed" while looking for directions on their phone loses all their means. However, we are waiting for you.
I have a question. How to reach you?
Write us! ouch@raplapla.com
We respond to emails regularly but note that we spend more time on the sewing machines than on the computer.
I have an emergency, what should I do?
To speak to the surgeon, call Monday to Thursday between noon and 5 p.m.

Is my dog eligible?
We repair almost all fabric toys.
We do not repair real fur stuffed animals or plastic or wooden toys. If you have a plastic doll with a cloth body, we may be able to repair their body!
We don't repair the mechanisms of music boxes or talking toys (but we can repair their fabric bodies or clothing).
How to get to the hospital?
We are located at 69, rue Villeneuve west in Montreal, in the raplapla workshop-boutique.
By public transport
Go to Laurier metro station then walk ten minutes west or take bus 55 or 80 to the corner of Villeneuve Street.
By car
Follow your GPS religiously as usual and park on St-Laurent Boulevard (it will cost you a few dollars but will save you a lot of disappointment from driving around in circles to discover that ALL the spaces have resident stickers).
By mail
Go to the next question 😉.
How do I prepare my patient for their mail trip?
After completing your intake form and making an appointment, place your patient in a cozy box for their long journey.
Please attach a small card that tells us their name and the estimate number provided in the reservation email and send it to:
Cloth people hospital
69, rue Villeneuve Ouest
Montreal, QC, H2T 2R4
Send it a few days before his operation. Postal delays are unpredictable and beyond our control. Returns by post are made every Wednesday and Friday.
I want to repair a toy that is not made of fabric.

Holes due to old age or the large canines a dog? A stay at the Hospital will give your precious one a second life.
Need a new nose or stitch up an eye? Our surgeon will administer a real makeover to your best friend.
A member is missing after your grandmother's rabbit was forgotten in the back of the attic? Your favorite teddy bear's foot now lives in the dog's digestive tract? Nothing like a stay in the Hospital to run on all four legs again like in 14!
Out of pure coquetry or because nothing is going well, a new piece of linen can save the day! It's also a good way to "protect" a very old stuffed toy that you don't want to do anything on, either because you're not sure you want a change, or because it's too fragile.
Completely flat, overworked by the dryer? Allergic to the family washer-killer? Intense need to soften the hair, when Doudou became Dudur? A trip to the Hospital spa might be a good idea.
